Background Information~Interview~Current Chinese American~Bibliography
It is a hard transition from being Chinese citizen to an American citizen. The two ethnicities are completely different. Each country contains different traditions and language. It is difficult to be both Chinese and American due to the drastic differences between the two governments. It has been a long journey for the Chinese immigrants trying to gain equal rights as the American in the United States. After fighting for many years, they have finally reached their goal to have equal rights. Without these rights that the Chinese have gained over the past decades, there would not be many Chinese citizens living in America. Therefore, America would lose about three million five hundred sixty five thousand and four hundred fifty eight citizens, which is about 1.2 percent of America’s population. Also, since China and the United States are so different, Chinese immigrants can help America come up with more plans and solutions to help the government. They can give advice that works in China to the Americans so the Americans can build a stronger government.
