Chinese immigration in America. The website talks about how gold was the
object that lured many Chinese males to America to become rich. Lastly, the
website talked about how Americans did not welcome the Chinese immigrants
at first. And how there were laws created about Chinese immigration in a
negative way.

with a short summary of the overall law. Then it's continued
with the text of the Geary Law. This information helped me understand how the Chinese
immigrants were treated when they first settled in America.

me information about China before they settled in America. It talked about
China's conditions after the Opium War. Also, it talked about how it was
difficult to travel to America and money was extremely important. Lastly,

immigrants before and after the Chinese Exclusion Act. It also talked about
how since the Chinese were isolated in America, they created Chinatown.
This website helped me because it showed me how the Chinese
lived during the first settlements in America.
